EMT Danielle McWilliams
Q. How long have you been in EMS? What is your current position at Marple EMS?
A. I’ve been in EMS for 10yrs. I am currently a career-staff EMT at MTAC.

Q. What made you become a part of EMS?
A. I’ve always been interested in the medical field. I joined Llanerch Fire Company in Havertown as a volunteer, I went to EMT school, and through the years I progressed into the position of Lieutenant then Captain.

Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job/position?
A. Being able to play an important role in someone’s life, helping them on the worst or best day of their life is truly rewarding.

Q. What are your hobbies outside of work?
A. I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going down the shore, no matter the season, it’s my favorite place to be.

Q. What is an interesting fact about you that no one may know?
A. I used to figure skate in middle school and high school.

Q. What did you want to do while growing up?
A. I wanted to be a veterinarian, a doctor, an “ambulance person”, a nurse, etc. The career paths I’ve wanted to pursue have always involved something to do with the medical field.

Q. Tell me about your life…
A. I grew up in Drexel Hill and still live there. I have a younger brother. When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family and my friends. I visit the shore every chance I get. I plan to continue furthering my career in the medical field and obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy as well as Nursing. I’ve taken pride in being an EMT since day one and being part of something bigger than just one’s self.
