This unit, when staffed with a volunteer EMT, responds to all calls in Marple Township. The EMT will initiate patient care until the Paramedic or ambulance arrives. This unit is stationed at the main station when not in service.

This unit is staffed with a certified Paramedic 24/7. Its primary response is Marple Township and Interstate 476. It also is the primary back up in parts of Newtown, Haverford, Springfield and Radnor Townships. Our paramedics carry LifePak 12 monitors which are capable of doing 12 lead EKG and sending the information right to the emergency room. Many times, our crew transport directly to the Cath Lab when patients are suffering a heart attack. Our paramedics also carry CPAP for our patients that are suffering from severe respiratory distress.
