PA State Certified Quick Response Service
This unit, when staffed with a volunteer EMT, responds to all calls
in Marple and Newtown Townships. The EMT will initiate patient care
until the Paramedic or ambulance arrives. This unit is stationed
at the main station when not in service.

1998 Ford Expedition
PA State Certified Paramedic Unit
- This unit is staffed with
a certified Paramedic 24/7. Its primary response is Marple Township
and Interstate 476. It also is the primary back up in Newtown
Township and parts of Haverford, Springfield and Radnor Townships.
This vehicle is rotated with Medic 53A on opposite platoons. Our
paramedics carry LifePak 12 monitors which are capable of doing
12 lead EKG and sending the information right to the emergency
room. Many times, our crew transport directly to the Cath Lab
when patients are suffering a heart attack. Our paramedics also
carry CPAP for our patients that are suffering from severe respiratory
distress.

Ambulance 53-7

PA State Certified Basic Life Support Unit
- Ambulance 53-7 is our first out ambulance for Marple Township
and Interstate 476. It is the primary back up in Newtown Township
and parts of our surrounding communities. This ambulance is equipped
with an Automatic External Defibrillator.

PA State Certified Basic Life Support Unit
- Ambulance 53-7A is back up ambulance for Marple and Newtown Townships and Interstate 476. This ambulance is equipped with an Automatic External Defibrillator.
Ambulance 53-7B
1999 Ford Horton
PA State Certified Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- Medic 53-7B is our first
out ambulance for Newtown Township. It is the primary back up
in Marple Township and parts of our surrounding communities. This
ambulance is fully staffed 24/7 with a paramedic and EMT. Our
paramedics carry LifePak 12 monitors which are capable of doing
12 lead EKG and sending the information right to the emergency
room. Many times, our crew transport directly to the Cath Lab
when patients are suffering a heart attack. Our paramedics also
carry CPAP for our patients that are suffering from severe respiratory
